Fire Alerts

Thanks to recent precipitation, Lacombe County has lifted all fire restrictions. To ensure community safety and environmental protection, Lacombe County requires fire permits for controlled burns. 

A Fire Restriction will come into effect at NOON (12:00 p.m.) on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, for all of Lacombe County due to exceptionally dry, windy conditions and a lack of foreseeable precipitation. 

A Fire Advisory will come into effect at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 1, 2026, for all of Lacombe County due to warm temperatures, windy conditions, and little to no anticipated precipitation in the coming days.

Thanks to the moisture from the recent snow, Lacombe County has removed the Fire Ban and all fire restrictions in Lacombe County. While this change reflects improved conditions, residents are urged to exercise extreme caution and prioritize fire prevention at all times.

Lacombe County has upgraded the current Fire Advisory to a Fire Ban due to several recent large fires, a continued lack of moisture, and persistent windy conditions.
