The paving of the Trans Canada Trail is now complete to Blackfalds town limits. Trans Canada Trail (TCT) works with the Government of Canada and other contributors to make strategic investments in the Trail’s development and promotion. Please look at their website for more information on trails. |
Army Reservists Contribution March 2010

In support of the project, Army Reservists of the 25 and 33 Engineering Squadrons, 41 Combat Engineer Regiment (41 CER) installed the wood handrails and bridge decking over two weekends, the 12-14 and 19-21 of March 2010.

New Footbridge Constructed February 2010

A new footbridge was built by Lacombe County, in cooperation with the Central Alberta Regional Trails Society. Timcon Construction (1988) Ltd. started dirt work in December 2009. The foot bridge was painted in February and was erected on February 24, 2010.
