Lacombe County's mapping department is responsible for the development and maintenance of the County's digital geographic databases and providing mapping and data services to all County departments, ratepayers, various levels of government and private business. The department also supports, trains and programs customized applications to assist County staff with all mapping related projects and tasks. Our mapping technology includes the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Global Positioning Systems (GPS).
The Technology Department at Lacombe County primarily services County employees by ensuring that all technology related systems are functioning and sufficient. In turn these systems help County employees service County residents. The department designs and maintains this website as well as the majority of graphical ads and pamphlets presented by the County.
