Corporate Services:
The Corporate Services department is responsible for providing corporate, information and administrative services in an effort to help the organization work effectively and efficiently. The department provides: residential, commercial and industrial assessment (classifies and values all property within Lacombe County); accounting services; human resources services; information technology services; records management; communications; establishes, implements and monitors the County’s budget and provides, and; provides administrative support services within the County.

Community Services:
Our Community Services Department is composed of various business units including Agriculture, Enforcement, Environmental, Fire and Emergency Management and Utilities.
- The Agriculture unit provides various agricultural services to Lacombe County residents, including weed and pest management control, soil conservation, and various extension/outreach programs.
- Our committed Peace Officers serve and enhance our community by enforcing legislation and regulations (bylaws) throughout the County. Their primary focus is traffic safety and preventing damage to County road infrastructure.
- The Environmental unit coordinates, designs, and executes a broad range of environmental programs, studies, and initiatives. They work collaboratively with all departments within the County to ensure environmental best management practices are followed and comply with environmental legislation.
- The Fire and Emergency Management unit provides fire protection services designed to protect the lives and property of the residents and visitors throughout Lacombe County.
- The Utilities unit is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation, maintenance and sustainability of Lacombe County’s utility systems. They ensure compliance with Alberta legislation as it relates to water distribution, wastewater treatment, and wastewater collection.

Operations:
Our Operations Department's primary focus is the maintenance and construction of the County’s roads. Our employees perform bridge maintenance, transport gravel, grade roads, plow snow, install and repair signs, perform roadside brushing, install fences, build new roads, look after our parks and trail systems, maintain our extensive fleet of equipment, and much more.

Planning & Development:
Our Planning & Development Department provides assistance to residents, developers, and others in planning, designing and building the growth of Lacombe County in accordance with the Municipal Development Plan. They issue development permits, carry out inspections and provide information on building requirements. They’re also responsible for all aspects of land use planning including reviewing and approving development applications.
