When it comes down to emergency situations, a coordinated approach is often the most successful.
In Lacombe County, industry and municipal partners have long understood that principle. In 1998, the Lacombe County Mutual Aid Organization (LCMAO) was established to facilitate a coordinated emergency response between the various emergency response departments in the region.
Together, they train, plan and share best practices for emergency response. In the event of a large-scale emergency, the partners would join forces for a regional response.
